What We Do

PSKS offers short-term and long-term opportunities for youth in their path forward.

Our frontline services are designed to get youth off the streets and meet their immediate basic needs.

[Homeless Youth for Peace and Empowerment]

Monday, Thursday, Friday: 12pm-2pm

Tuesday, Wednesday: 9am-2pm

Our HYPE drop-in program is open for all young adults ages 18-24.

We offer lunch, showers, laundry, clean clothing, hygiene supplies, technology room, Netflix, board games, case management, and more!

Young Adult Shelter

Shelter is open nightly from 9:30pm-8:30am the following day.

We offer “permanent beds” to participants ages 18-24. These beds include a sheet and blanket, storage bin, and personal lock. With a “permanent bed”, you do not need to make a reservation, wait in line, or enter a lottery – your bed is your bed as long as our basic agreements are being followed and until your 25th birthday.

Case Management

Monday-Friday: 8am-3pm and by appointment

Our two case managers work together and with community partners to help participants find and sustain housing, apply for employment, enroll in healthcare services, get a Washington State ID card, apply for schooling, complete the GED test, and more!

To make an appointment for a case management intake, email Hannah (hannah@psks.org) or David (david@psks.org).

What you can expect

For the long-term, PSKS prioritizes growth opportunities such as education, employment support, life skills classes, involvement in advocacy, and engaging in community support.

Our programs offer wraparound support to meet survival needs while also building each participants’ knowledge, skills and abilities, to enable them to become self-sufficient and reach their full potential.
