PSKS is overwhelmed and amazed with the incredible generosity of our community. We have found, and renewed, friends and allies that are rallying their support to make sure PSKS continues to serve our participants.  THANK YOU to more than 250 new donors who have contributed nearly $35,000, since Friday October 12, to support our community effort to empower homeless youth and young adults.

We need to secure another $50,000 in donations and pledges by Thursday to convince our Board of Directors that there is enough financial stability to continue providing these critical services.  This amount will allow staff to refocus their energy on serving our participants. It provides enough resources to secure additional revenue from grants, contracts, corporate sponsorship campaigns and events.  It provides the stability we need to build on the momentum we’ve generated from this outpouring of community support.

PSKS provides a community safety net for some of the hardest cases of youth and young adult homelessness, drug addiction, and mental health issues. Many participants have significant barriers to housing such as evictions, felonies, pets, unmarried partners and children. Often they have been kicked out, or aged out, of other programs or are extremely system resistant. If we close, hundreds of marginalized youth will face compounded challenges to getting off the streets.

Once we make it through this financial crisis, we look forward to a growing relationship with all of our new friends.
